Tea light with stars

Material required:

• newspaper
• empty jam jar
• tea light
• scissors or cutter
• star template in two sizes from cardboard
• paintbrush
• container for paste
• approx. 50 cm of wire
• BLANCOL starch paste
• BLANCOL Découpage glue & varnish

1. Cut a strip of newspaper to the height and circumference of the glass. Add 0,5 cm to the circumference.

2. Use the small star template to draw as many stars as you like on the newspaper strip and carefully cut them out with scissors or a cutter.

3. Now you can brush the newspaper strips with starch paste and glue them to the outside of the glass and let them dry.

4. Under the thread, wrap the wire tightly around the glass twice and interlock both pieces of wire by twisting them twice and bending their ends to the desired position.

5. Using the large cardboard template, draw four stars on a piece of newspaper and cut them out.

6. Brush two stars with starch paste and glue them together with a paste-free star around one end of the wire. Use BLANCOL Découpage glue & varnish to seal the paste and your star tea light is ready.
