1. First, place your notebook on the spread out wrapping paper and measure the notebook at a distance of 2 cm on the sides of the wrapping paper. Draw the lines with a pencil and cut them out.
The trimmed wrapping paper is now wrapped around the exercise book. In order that your notebook is also in the middle of the paper, it is best to fold the paper slightly in the middle – thus you have an auxiliary line which will facilitate the gluing. Now you can generously coat one half of the paper with glue and place the closed notebook on top and press firmly. If you have small air bubbles, you can simply strike them out with a ruler or geo-triangle. Do the same for the other side.

2. Now you see that the two centimeters are left at the edge. To make them disappear, simply fold them into the exercise book and glue them on. Carefully where the pages are – if they are loose, as with me, you can simply lift them up and put the paper underneath. If this is not the case, you can also make a small cut, left and right of the pages, and then fold in the paper as usual – the remaining small piece can simply be cut off.

3. Now you have to find suitable photos and pictures for your collage. You need 24 pictures measuring at least 7 x 7 cm. I searched the internet for pictures and printed them out. With a template, which I cut out before, I can now cut out all pictures in such a way that these fit on my booklet.  You can find the template here. Make sure that 12 pictures point upwards and 12 downwards.

4. Now place your cut out pictures on your booklet the way you want them to be placed. As you will notice now, 4 pictures do not fit completely on the left side. Now you can halve these pictures with the help of the geo-triangle and stick the respective halves on the sides of the rows.

5. If everything is glued on you are already finished with your collage :) I decorated the edges with Washi-Tape and drew some lines in between.
